Inview to reveal next generation OTT solution at BroadcastAsia2013

Inview, the Over the Top (OTT) solutions specialist, has today announced that it will be launching its fully functional low cost SmartTV ecosystem with OTT functionality into the Asian market at BroadcastAsia2013, 18-21 June in Singapore.

Inview’s unique solution - Liberator - revealed for the first time in Asia, combines cloud delivery of OTT services with light weight software that can be deployed on a wide range of hardware platforms.  It is completely scalable without incurring additional cost - from basic set top box (STB) functionality to advanced DVR.

As well as a core of cloud OTT services, including VOD, social media and a ready-to-go apps library, Liberator has a user interface (UI) and back office management system that can be completely customised.  This allows for user profiling and recommended content functionality, which can ultimately help the operator introduce targeted advertising, bringing in an additional revenue stream.  Multi-screen functionality within the solution will be demonstrated at the event, bringing a unified viewing experience for users across all platforms.

Julie Austin, CEO of Inview Solutions commented: “We are incredibly excited to launch Liberator into the Asian market at BroadcastAsia2013. Internet speeds across various parts of Asia can have inconsistent speeds and reach.  Coupled with this, consumer spend is often low.   Having recognised the needs of Asian operators to address these issues, we are excited to provide them with the ability to launch a low-cost STB service that can easily be upgraded into a more sophisticated OTT offering.

“As the platform can be customised, it can help operators to stay in complete control of content, including protection from piracy and localising channels into the country’s native language. Our solution has been tried and tested and is based on proven technology that has already been successfully deployed throughout Europe.”
