RF Transmission from DEV – Comprehensive, Safe and Innovative

As the “Experts in RF Signal Handling”, DEV meets 99% of the transmission needs between satellite antenna and the IRD of a cable network with a product portfolio for RF over coax as well as for RF over fiber infrastructures for all frequency ranges required in that segment. Also beyond the IRDs of a cable network, DEV offers tailored product solutions for big and smaller cable operators. During the Communic Asia from 18 to 21 June 2013 in Singapore, DEV presents its current product portfolio in the German Pavillion at booth no. 1L2-03.

Since 2013 DEV sets new Service Standards, which by far exceed the usual scope of services in this segment. The new service pack „TripleC Protection“ stands for „Competent and Complete Care“ and fulfils all customer requirements for an All-Inclusive-Service-Package. And the best: „TripleC Protection“ is free of charge and valid for DEV’s standard warranty period of 37 months for all their products and systems.

New functionalities have been developed making the well established DEV Redundancy Switches even more attractive than before. The TRAC functionality (TRAC – Trap Receiver Action Controller) enables DEV Switches to detect directly SNMP alarm messages received via Ethernet and from third devices such as modulators. It provides a complete redundancy system for a small budget without the necessity to integrate the device into a network management system. An innovative approach which exactly meets the needs of end customers often having required independence from proprietary Network Management Systems. All customer specific settings will be done via the user friendly graphical configuration menu, which is part of DEV’s standard Web-Interface.

When choosing DEV solutions the customer is well prepared also for digital signals. For  transmission of Video signals in ASI and SDI Standard (e.g. HD or 3G signals) DEV has developed a new module, which is available with DEV Redundancy Switches.

Additional new developments have been launched for DEV’s OPTRIBUTION® series. Barely larger than a pack of cigarettes, the new OPTRIBUTION® Desktop Modules can transmit RF signals over fiber optic links of up to 40 kilometers in the Extended L-band. The new products offer advantages for use in cable TV heads, as well satellite newsgathering (SNG) vehicles.
