Eurovision Chooses SatLink For Asian Broadcast Services

SatLink Communications Ltd. has signed a long-term agreement with Eurovision to provide
turnaround services for  contribution feeds to and from Asia.

SatLink will turnaround Eurovision's sports and news transmissions in HD (High Definition) and SD (Standard Definition) formats, to broadcasters and operators throughout  the Asian continent. SatLink will receive Eurovision's transmissions by fiber and uplink them on the AsiaSat-5 satellite.

According to Stefan Kuerten, Director of Eurovision Operations: "Eurovision is the premier distributor of sports and news content for the world's top broadcast and media  platforms and we are delighted to be working with Satlink in our goal to provide our customers with the programming they want in a seamless, reliable and cost-effective  way. We have two leased transponders on the AsiaSat-5 satellite and we believe that the agreement with Satlink will enhance our reach even further throughout the  continent."

According to SatLink CEO David Hochner, "Not only does SatLink provide a gateway for transmission between Europe and Asia and vice-versa with our multiple services on  AsiaSat-5, but this deal also shows that Eurovision recognizes our unique ability in the region to provide turn around services
on a large scale."
