CDW-G Awarded Four Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic Contracts
5 June 2012
CDW Government LLC (CDW-G), announced it won a multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) supply contract to provide commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) network and communications equipment to the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic (SSC Atlantic).
In addition to this latest award, during the last 13 months CDW-G won three other multiple-award contracts to provide COTS solutions to SSC Atlantic in support of its mission to equip the warfighter with critical information. All four contracts are indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity, fixed-price agreements with one base year and four option years. SSC Atlantic estimates the value of each contract for all contract holders combined at $500 million, if all options are exercised.
SSC Atlantic is a Navy Working Capital Fund engineering center that provides systems, sensor connections, cyber network infrastructures and knowledge management services to enable naval, joint and national warfighters to access the information they need, securely, regardless of their location. Under the contracts, CDW-G will help SSC Atlantic deliver “speed to capability” in support of the Department of Defense (DoD) and the global war on terrorism.
“CDW-G’s four contract awards demonstrate our steadfast support of the warfighter and our longstanding ability to provide solutions that enable reliable, secure access to essential information,” said Bob Kirby, vice president of federal government for CDW-G. “We bring technology from industry’s best developers to help the nation’s military leaders achieve knowledge superiority for our troops in the field.”
CDW-G’s four recent contract awards from SSC Atlantic include:
- Network and Communications: CDW-G is one of 14 awardees providing COTS network and communications equipment to DoD and Federal civilian agencies. If all options are exercised, work could continue until March 2017. CDW-G will provide rapid access to turnkey solutions for the warfighter, with the objective of facilitating mission effectiveness and efficient use of resources. CDW-G will provide solutions including, but not limited to, communication displays and processors, satellite communications equipment, switches, and power supply equipment
- Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance, Information Operations, and Information Assurance (ISR/IO/IA): CDW-G is one of nine awardees providing COTS ISR/IO/IA equipment and support services to DoD and Federal civilian agencies. If all options are exercised, work could continue until March 2017. Under the contract, CDW-G will provide technology solutions including, but not limited to, communication and video surveillance equipment, tactical local area network equipment, processors and workstations, and power supplies
- Command and Control (C2): CDW-G is one of six awardees providing COTS C2 equipment and support services to DoD and Federal civilian agencies. If all options are exercised, work could continue until June 2016. Under the contract, CDW-G will provide technology solutions including, but not limited to, video, imagery, tracking and intelligence support systems; GPS equipment; tactical equipment such as displays, processors, servers, terminals, video systems, workstations and local-area networks; as well as associated power and installation equipment
- Audio Visual (AV) Systems: CDW-G is one of five awardees providing COTS AV systems equipment to DoD and Federal civilian agencies. If all options are exercised, work could continue until February 2016. The AV system components will be integrated into turnkey solutions, helping to fulfill the growing need for C4ISR solutions, according to SSC Atlantic
