Globalsat Group Expands Proven Railway Connectivity Expertise to North America at Railway Interchange 2026

Building on nearly a decade of successful railway deployments across Latin America, including long-term projects and thousands of kilometers of connected operations, Globalsat Group  brings its mission-critical hybrid connectivity solutions to the North American rail market.

Globalsat Group, a leading provider of mission-critical satellite and hybrid connectivity solutions across the Americas, will participate as a sponsor of Railway Interchange 2026, one of North America’s premier events for the railway industry, taking  place June 2–4 at the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

Representing the company at the event will be Sam Crowther, Head of Sales for Globalsat US, and  Marcelo Sturmann, VP of Strategic Sales at Globalsat Group. They will meet with railway operators, technology partners and industry leaders to discuss how resilient connectivity architectures are transforming railway safety, efficiency and operational intelligence.

As rail operators accelerate their transition toward digitalization, automation, advanced signaling, predictive maintenance and real-time applications, reliable connectivity has become a critical foundation for the future of transportation.

For VLI, one of Brazil’s key multimodal logistics operators, Globalsat Group is leading a 10-year connectivity modernization project deploying a hybrid satellite and LTE solution across more than 1,800 kilometers of railway network. The solution supports current onboard systems while enabling future capabilities such as advanced signaling, automation, real-time applications and assisted operations.

For Rumo, one of the largest railway operators in Brazil, Globalsat Group implemented satellite enabled communications and telemetry solutions designed to provide real-time visibility of locomotives and reliable communication between drivers, maintenance teams and operation control centers across remote corridors where traditional networks were limited.

Globalsat Group also supported Valec’s North-South Railway project, enabling satellite communications for critical railway operations across remote areas, improving asset visibility, operational efficiency and safety.
