XipNet Unveils AI/ML-Powered Modem Detection Technology

Seamless Zero-Touch Provisioning, Rapid Deployment

June 2, 2025

XipNet, a cloud SD-WAN service of XipLink Inc., a leading innovator in multi-orbit networking solutions, today announced the launch of its AI/ML-powered modem detection technology, an advanced solution designed to accelerate deployment and automate provisioning across multiple internet links.

By leveraging advanced machine learning models, XipNet automatically identifies modem characteristics such as configuration parameters, connection speed, and device-specific signatures. This enables seamless zero-touch provisioning and dramatically reduces the time required for initial setup and deployment in complex environments, consisting of multiple internet services such as LEO, GEO, Cellular and Fiber.

“This breakthrough represents a major step forward in simplifying the installation process for satellite and wireless communications,” said Jaco Botha, SVP Product of XipLink. “By applying AI/ML to modem identification, we’re eliminating manual steps and enabling faster, more reliable service delivery for our partners and customers.”

The AI/ML model is continuously trained on real-world modem data, allowing it to accurately detect a wide array of modem types, configurations, and operational states. This intelligence feeds directly into XipLink’s automation engines, allowing modems to be provisioned and optimized without human intervention.

Key benefits of XipLink’s AI/ML modem detection include:

• Zero-touch provisioning for streamlined modem installation

• Real-time detection of modem type, configuration, speed, and signature

• Reduced installation time and operational complexity

• Adaptive learning, ensuring support for new modem models and firmware

This capability is now integrated into XipNet service, enhancing its multi-orbit/multi-path effectiveness in satellite, wireless, and hybrid networking scenarios.
