Romantis Secures
Intelsat 15 Capacity
to Establish
Platform Across
Three Regions

Romantis GmbH,
a European satellite
capacity trader
providing satellite
transmission
services for
European, African
and Asian markets,
signed another
multi-year,
multi-transponder
contract for
capacity on the
Intelsat system to
expand its service
offering into the
CIS, EU and the
Middle East.
Under the agreement,
Romantis will
receive Ku-band
transponder services
on the Intelsat 15
satellite which will
be located at 85
degrees East once
launched in 2009.
Through its contract
on Intelsat 15,
Romantis expects to
set up a universal
satellite multimedia
platform that will
support a variety of
applications,
including DTH
broadcasting, IPTV
service platforms,
DVB-S2 SD and HD
distribution
networks, as well as
broadband services.

single uniform
high-power beam,”

this agreement we

capacity that will
enable us to
substantially expand
our services and
respond to our
customers’ strong
demand for premium
broadcast and
broadband services.”
