AFCOM Satellite Network Ltd, has certified and provisioned service on its next generation satellite equipment in its new gateway ground station in Lagos. Additionally, AFCOM has signed several transactions in the region in advance of the opening. The gateway provides services ideally suited for those in the banking and oil and gas industries, as well as other multi-national companies.
Over the next couple of months, AFCOM will increase its capabilities significantly by offering reliable Broadband Internet, as well as high end VSAT services to companies. The new gateway provides high quality C Band satellite coverage throughout Nigeria and significant portions of West Africa on the latest and most advanced Intelsat satellites.
“Nigeria’s expanding economy, and a corresponding dependence on sophisticated wireless technology requires organizations to have exceptional reliability and high service levels from their VSAT providers in order to compete in the world. AFCOM intends to be the leader in these operational characteristics,” said Dr. Bola Awobamise, Chairman of AFCOM. “We will set ourselves apart by delivering what we promise and then supporting what we deliver by exceeding customer expectations. Our mission is clear – to provide high value VSAT services to those entities that require a high level of service reliability and excellence in customer service from satellite service providers.”
