BusinessCom, Expands VSAT Services Capacity Over Eastern Hemisphere

May 19, 2009

BusinessCom Internet via Satellite announced today it has expanded its VSAT services capacity over the eastern hemisphere.

BusinessCom, through its partners in the United States, is now able to access additional chunks of space segment capacity on a number of satellites, including Telesat Telstar-10 satellite at 76.5 degrees East orbital position, C-Band beam, to provide extensive VSAT service coverage over the region. The increased coverage includes industry hot spots such as Iraq and Afghanistan where demand for satellite Internet services is growing rapidly. This additional capacity allows BusinessCom to continue to provide iDirect Infiniti and SCPC based VSAT services for new clientele while assuring continued growth capacity for their current subscriber base.

BusinessCom's PEP-iDirect service is a unique blend of high efficient iDirect Infiniti VSAT platform, strong Service Level Agreement (SLA), and an application-centric custom tailored approach. PEP-iDirect delivers reliable, 2-way broadband satellite Internet access and is designed with the Enterprise class clientele in mind to suit a wide range of applications.

PEP-iDirect is capable of delivering both broadband BIR and true, dedicated and non-oversubscribed CIR bandwidth, backed up by full QoS that is built into the iDirect Infiniti modem. Because BusinessCom configures the QoS profile per each remote according to the individual customer's requirements, the service is ready to support mission critical IP connectivity, VoIP, videoconferencing and data with guaranteed quality of service and network uptime. This includes the accelerated support of VPN, CITRIX, SCADA, EFT, ERM and all IP enabled business applications.
