In cooperation with Intelsat's
global satellite fleet over the
Middle East, for over a year, ATCi
has been able to complete GSM
services from principally Iraq to
anywhere in the world. Moreover,
through this system Zain can use
their next generation network
infrastructure to provide profitable
yet efficient services globally.
The innovative contract signed
between the two companies calls for
an after-care warrantee period upon
the Intelsat verification of the
integrity of the circuit to ensure
continued high quality
communications to these regions for
the future. ATCi is in the process
of implementing additional
cost-effective GSM backhaul systems
which are being implemented
throughout the Middle East and
Africa over the upcoming years.
"The Zain vision for providing
dependable, high quality mobile
services is really making a positive
difference in these regions," said
Gary Hatch, ATCi's CEO.
"Conceivably, Zain's caring ability
to work honestly and reasonably with
integration companies such as ATCi
formulates the teaming required to
provide vital communications
services to one of the most
precarious countries in the world,"
Hatch concluded.
This has now become the widest
reaching mobile telecommunication
network in the country, MTC Atheer
provides services to about 3,250,000
customers. ATCi handled the scope of
the project from turn-key design and
integration to installation and
testing.
