Military Satellite Services Workshop to be Held
At APSCC
25 August 2008
Over the past decade, the APSCC Annual Satellite
Conference and Exhibition, renowned as APSCC’s
flagship contribution to the satellite industry,
has been providing a globally integrated
platform that covers every sector of the
satellite industry as well as a unique briefing
and networking opportunity to the participants
of the event. This year the APSCC 2008 event,
scheduled for September 22-25 in
Jeju
Island, will be launched on
a bigger platform covering more issues than ever
regarding the Asia-Pacific satellite industry.
Under the theme of
“Satellites on the Move,” the APSCC 2008
Satellite Conference and Exhibition will bring
an insight into the fast growing market of the
Asia-Pacific region. Following the successful
APSCC 2008 event in Bangkok, which gathered over
350 professionals and leaders from the satellite
industry, this year’s event is expected to draw
a bigger audience from the industry including
satellite operators, satellite manufacturers,
launch vehicle service providers, risk
management and financing professionals,
equipment manufacturers, satellite service
providers, government regulators, and also
military SatCom users.
For the first time, APSCC
this year is poised to organize the Military
Satellite Services Workshop as a pre-conference
program on September 22 to cover the issues,
applications, and equipments regarding military
satellite services.
The one-full day workshop on
Military Satellite Services will present how
countries in Asia are using satellites for their
military purposes and will examine the
approaches for more efficient and applicable
solutions among satellite applications for
military satellite services through the sessions
on Military Satellite Applications, Military
Satellite Payload Systems, Military Satellite
Equipments, and Military Satellite Services Case
Studies.
It is expected that
participation in this specialized workshop will
enable an individual group or company to discuss
issues and opportunities regarding the military
satellite industry and to learn more about how
Asian countries are using satellites for their
military purposes.
