up-linked
on
the
new
Telstar
11N
satellite,
nearly
immediately
after
the
satellite
was
released
for
operations.
With
a
satellite
capacity
shortage
in
the
market
C2C
can
now
offer
its
clients
extensive
growth
and
new
high
power
network
possibilities
with
reliability
and
quality.
The
satellite
covers
Europe,
North
America,
the
Caribbean
and
Sub-Saharan
Africa.
C2C
has
built
infrastructure
to
specifically
service
the
Telstar
11N
satellite.
Services
will
run
on a
new
6,3m
Vertex
antenna
from
its
Teleport
on
the
Netherlands.
C2C
infrastructure
includes
access
to a
redundant
SDH
fibre
ring,
redundant
Carrier
Ethernet
or
Gig
Ethernet
fibre
infrastructure
as
well
as
telehouse
infrastructure
and
connections
to
large
Internet
Access
providers
in
Amsterdam.
This
Telstar
satellite
was
successfully
launched
on
27
February
2009
and
on 1
April
2009
Telesat,
the
Telstar
owner,
announced
that
the
satellite
is
ready
for
commercial
services.
On
the
same
day
C2C
started
operations.
