GIT Satellite Communications Awarded GSA Schedule Contract

GIT Satellite Communications has been awarded a United States General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule contract, number GS-35F-0404U. This contract enables GIT to be listed on an approved GSA Schedule and to sell GIT’s equipment, services, and solutions directly to government agencies. GIT’s inclusion as a GSA Schedule Vendor allows government agencies to obtain special and approved pricing from a trusted vendor. GIT also remains committed to expanding and strengthening its government channel, recognizing this segment of the market as a key factor for achieving long-term growth.

GSA establishes long-term government wide contracts with commercial firms to provide access to commercial supplies and services that can be ordered directly from GSA Schedule contractors. GSA Schedules offer customers direct access to high-performance solutions and services at discount pricing including the benefits of shorter lead-times, lower administrative costs, and reduced inventories. When using GSA Schedules, government ordering agencies have the opportunity to meet small business goals, while promoting compliance with various environmental and socioeconomic laws and regulations.

“GIT recognizes securing a GSA Schedule Contract is an important vote of confidence from the U.S. government enabling the company to increase its leverage in prospective government accounts and further its overall position in the government market,” said Ginger Washburn, President and CEO of GIT Satellite Communications. “This contract will serve to help GIT secure new market opportunities while strengthening our government channel to better serve our customers.” “With the current hurricane season upon us,” said Ms Washburn, “GIT is better positioned to provide needed communications and services to all segments of the emergency first responder community.”
