Globecomm Systems Awarded Infrastructure Contract Valued at $1.2 Million from a Mobile Telecommunications Operator



Globecomm Systems Inc.   has been awarded an infrastructure contract from a telecommunications operator valued at $1.2 million.

Globecomm will design, integrate and install satellite infrastructure in the country of Panama consisting of a major hub and six remote sites. Once complete, the infrastructure will expand the customer’s network footprint enabling the transmission of IP-based data and voice traffic via remote GSM cellular backhaul for the telecom operator.

David Hershberg, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Globecomm Systems Inc., said: “Globecomm’s mobile communication infrastructure deployments continue to expand as demonstrated by this contract.
